A recent survey report which was undertaken by YouGov has indicated that the rising popularity of Mobile Broadband services can adversely affect the financials of traditional Internet Service Providers (ISP).

The report also mentioned that customers invariably find mobile broadband easier to setup with only issues like network coverage and comparable slower speeds affecting their user experience.

The survey has revealed that one in very eight mobile broadband subscribers has gone on to cancel their fixed line ISP account or has chosen the dongle over the traditional fixed line connection.

In addition the survey has pointed out that an additional five percent users who are currently utilizing both fixed line ISP service and mobile broadband, intend to forego their ISP service in the coming year.

Traditional ISPs still offer significant advantages in key areas like average download limits of 40GB while compared to 3GB limits set by most mobile broadband operators; they would need to leverage their strengths to wake up to this new competition to avoid losing more customers.
